Individual counseling at Fuego Therapy in Arlington TX

Have you been carrying the emotional weight of your migration story for years? Maybe you’ve moved across cities, states, or countries, and each move left you feeling more disconnected from yourself. You might have taken on adult responsibilities too early, like translating for your parents, becoming a provider, or keeping your emotions quiet for the sake of your family. It’s exhausting to be the strong one all the time.

You may be navigating two cultures, two languages, or two versions of yourself, and still wondering where you truly belong. The stress, grief, or identity confusion that comes with migration isn’t something you’re just supposed to “get over.” Whether you’ve recently migrated or your story began years ago, therapy can be a place where you finally unpack the pressure, loss, and roles that shaped your life.

I’m Ivon Herrera, a bilingual therapist specializing in the emotional impact of migration. I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help you identify what’s already working and EMDR to process trauma stored in the body and mind. Our work together is designed to be healing, focused, and grounded in your lived experience, so you can stop just surviving and start living life on your own terms.
